„alles ist eytel“ is also an atelier. the term ‘atelier’ originates from the 17th century and comes from the old French word ‘astelle’ - meaning ‘splinter of wood’. this is where we exhibit, print, develop and co-operate.
I have always preferred to dedicate myself to printed and still/moving images, which, after studying theatre, film and media studies, resulted in 10 years of work in the collection of old prints at the austrian national library. since 2019 I have been working exclusively in the field of photography and started my own studio for photography „alles ist eytel“ in 2024.
the focus of my work revolves around twilight and dawn. the twilight stands for the passage between light and dark or the invisible and the dawn as a marker for transition, boundary and passage. I am interested in the special atmosphere of this intermediate space as a threshold that simultaneously shows the difference and transition between spaces and scenes.
